WESTMINSTER PARK BRIDGE CLUB

Special welcoming evenings Thursdays

After the success of our “Try Us” evenings we have decided to extend the invitation and there will be no fee on the initial evenings.

We can promise partners if you come alone; or you may prefer to come as a pair.

Do you enjoy social bridge?

Have you thought of joining a club?

That’s a new challenge with new people and you may think you’re not good enough to start.

If you have some experience and can play at a reasonable pace then we may be just what you are looking for.

On the other hand, you may already have played in a club and know what it’s all about.

We can also promise a congenial atmosphere; while we stick to the rules, we apply them in a sympathetic manner!

We play from 7 until 10 each Thursday at the Community Centre in Westminster Park, Chester. There is ample parking and a licensed bar for members.

For further details, you will find us on Facebook @wpbridge or at www.wpbridge.club on the web.

For enquiries, you can post on Facebook; you can email wpbridge@outlook.com; or you can call me on 01244 675923.

Lastly, you may skip the enquiry stage and come on any Thursday.

Looking forward to seeing you,

Nick Ryan

The Interiors Shop

The Interiors Shop is a new venture for owner Rosalind Ellis and her first shop.  Coming from a professional background in Central London property and a family background in antiques, Rosalind hopes to bring her eclectic interiors style to the homes of Chester.

The shop stocks a wide range of fabrics and Little Greene Paint Company’s paints and wallpapers, and can provide reupholstery services and curtain making and fitting, as well as lighting, rugs, soft furnishings, home and garden accessories and greetings cards, gift wrap and gifts.

Please pop in and take a look around and if the weather is nice, take a look at our courtyard garden.

There are good and bad things happening on the internet and one of the most prolific bad things are the ongoing attempts to scam innocent people out of their money or identities. We’ve written a series of articles dealing with various types of common internet scams and have rounded them all up together in this article. Each of these articles deals with the detection and avoidance of nefarious scams such as phishing, credit card scams, and tech support scams.

PICTURE QUIZ NIGHT WITH SUPPER

SATURDAY 7th April 2018 AT WESTMINSTER PARK COMMUNITY CENTRE, 7.30 for 8.00p.m.

Due to the popularity of this event last year we are holding another Picture Quiz night on 7th April.  It will include a Sausage and Mash Supper, with onion gravy of course.  The sausages will be provided by Stuart Bebbington, so quality is assured.  There will also be a vegetarian sausage option. This will be followed by apple pie and custard.

Tickets are priced at £7.00 and will be available from 7th March from Sandra Magilton (677373), Stuart Bebbington (butchers) or any committee member.  This was a sell-out event last year, so to avoid disappointment get your tickets early.
